Prelude Café & Restaurant is a chic café located in 810 Castro Street, Malate which is right in front of De La Salle University Manila.
They are known for their specialty coffee drinks, rice bowls, burgers and pastas.
Project Brief
Prelude Café + Restaurant is looking for a captivating brand identity that would reflect the Café’s warm and friendly atmosphere, their delicious food and specialty drinks.
They also needed their brand to stand out against a sea of competing Cafés in the area, to resonate with their targeted demographic and to have a strong online presence.
Lastly they require materials made to be used in-store, online marketing and for food delivery apps.

The Deliverables
Brand Study and Design
The Café aims to attract students and professors from the nearby university with its distinctive identity and lively atmosphere. The color palette and logo design of the Café is designed to catch the eye of potential customers and differentiate itself from other cafés and food establishments in the vicinity.
Menu Design
The menu is simple and cohesive, with clear descriptions and visuals of the food and drinks. Icons show peanuts or spiciness in the dishes for customers with allergies or specific preferences. The menu is designed to be easy to read for the fast paced nature of the Café’s over-the-counter ordering system.
PRODUCT CATALOGUE
Food photos meant for food delivery apps (like Grab and Food Panda), future poster designs, and as plating guides for the chefs in the kitchen were also captured for the Café.
Social Media Reels
Multiple highlight reels with different focuses were produced for their Social Media strategy. We went for a vintage film look to convey the Café’s cozy atmosphere while keeping a punchy editing style to keep the audience engaged. We then provided sound design and ended each reel with a Custom Logo Animation to further elevate the reel’s production value.
Food Styling and Photography
General photography was also performed for the Café with elaborate set designs and food styling efforts meant to be used for their Social Media accounts. We made sure that we captured the Café’s vibe and brand image.
